The Iceliner Express is a spatial-metaphor based life‑load sorting modality — a category of its own. It consists of multiple sub‑systems, including but not limited to: Iceliner Dark, Iceliner Light, Iceliner Stillness, Iceliner Resolve, Iceliner Ascend, Iceliner Clarity, Iceliner Hollowfield, Iceliner's Swimming Pool, I‑Celiner, and Iceliner Mimics. It is an intention‑based sorting modality allowing users to place concepts, experiences, or creative elements into structured categories that may shift over time.

It is the system I designed to help me navigate the sideways static — the place where falling turns into rising. I am now sharing it with others who need a way through their own internal landscape.

I am Donna Millar — creator of the drawers that are The Iceliner — worlds that become sanctuaries. I’m a writer, mythic curator, poet, and author. The Iceliner was created slowly, intentionally, and out of a lifetime of moves, losses, and the quiet moments that survived regardless of what life handed me.

It is part of my recovery, my craft, and my legacy. It’s how I organize thoughts and experiences, and turn chaos into meaning. I want to share it with everyone.​

What This Project Represents

The Iceliner Express™ began as a model railroad layout, but it evolved into a reflective modality that no longer functions as a railroad. The tracks don’t run trains — they form corridors — glued down because they form the structural lanes of the modality — Iceliner Light, Dark, and Stillness. The emotions aren’t asked to sit still; they’re meant to move — imagination moves; the trains carry what changes. The board holds the places where movement happens. Only one piece of track, under Iceliner Resolve, can be moved, because Resolve is the only part of the system that can change direction. It does not operate as a functioning rail line — its movement is conceptual, not mechanical. The trains remain not for operation, but because they are essential metaphor‑carriers within the modality. It’s a symbolic way to organize thoughts and challenges. It’s a sanctuary. It’s a story told in terrain, bridges, districts, and tiny human moments.

The World is a Living Project

The Iceliner Express™ — Navigating Slantwise Static Deck is becoming a 55+ card deck for the in‑between. It is not used for divination, gameplay, or competitive mechanics. It is a reflective tool within the Iceliner Express modality. Imagine slipping sideways into yourself and discovering things you didn’t know were already there. There is no “unlike other decks” because there ARE no other decks like it.

The Iceliner Express™Modality is an abstract‑based, imagination‑driven reflective modality

using familiar forms without being defined by any of them. It is a way to catch the strange little static moments in your own life — the ones that only appear when you look from a slant. It is narrative-based process using handmade miniature diorama photography built by a combat veteran who developed the modality from her own recovery.
